Title: Environmental Maintenance Specialist - Melbourne
Skilled Group working as the principal provider to Melbourne Water, undertaking the maintenance of environmental and civil assets, across the Port Phillip and Westernport Catchments across south eastern Melbourne Metropolitan area. We are seeking to employ an Environmental Maintenance Specialist to work as part of a passionate and enthusiastic environmental field crew, working to agreed standards of health, safety and environmental requirements in Melbourne's built and natural environment.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate:
A passion for indigenous fauna and flora
A high level of physical fitness
Strong focus on safety and quality management
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of techniques used in the Environmental Management Industry.
Indigenous and Weed plant ID skills
Ability to build and maintain strong organisational relationships and work well within a team environment.
Results focused with attention to detail
A proven track record in the timely delivery of environmental projects,
Excellent communications skills
Computer literate- Conversant in MS office applications
Current Victorian Drivers licence.
Candidates will ideally have a relevant qualification in a Natural Resource Management or similar discipline and or significant hands on experience (2 years at a minimum) in the environmental management industry.
Preference will be given to applicants with skills and training in this field. Applicants with a proven track record of field data collection or a Horticultural discipline will also be highly considered.
